You will have noticed that our website has changed to Go Club Yachting.  Andy and the rest of the team are still in Las Galletas teaching all our existing clients, and those of you who are tempted to join us for Sail or Motor Cruising in the winter sunshine of Las Galletas.

We have changed our name for a number of reasons - the main one being the fact that we are offering Motor as well as Sail and our old name "Club Sail" did not really reflect this.  So we had a talk amongst the team and came up with Club Yachting - reflecting both Sail and Motor Cruising!

Andy, Janet, Viva and the rest of the Club Yachting team are busy preparing for the winter season, which promises to be busier than ever.  Next week arrives with a bang with 4 yachts out: Andy, Mike and Sue are teaching Sail while Lee is teaching Motor Cruising.  Ashore Maggi is teaching Day Skipper Theory in our air-conditioned classroom.

We would love for you to join us, whether its for sail or motor courses, yacht charter or milebuilding.  Keep an eye on our website and special offers or just email info@clubyachting.com!

Milebuilding course are designed for those clients who have attained the knowledge level of the RYA Day Skipper course and would like to join us for some more sailing experience while not doing a formal course.  These weeks are also designed for those clients who wish to gain some experience of 60+ mile passages towards the requirements for the RYA Yachtmaster exam.  There will be opportunities of being either crew or “skipper of the day” under the guidance of one of our Instructors.
You will be spending the complete week on board the yacht visiting the beautiful areas of the Canaries away from the beaten track.
The milebuilding trips take place every 2 weeks - on board one of our larger Club class yachts.
On these bigger boats we can cover the miles more quickly due to the longer yacht having a faster hull speed, and on a more stable platform than on our smaller Bavaria 36.
During the week you will either “go west” or “go east” depending on the weather conditions.  Going west you will visit La Gomera, La Palma and often El Hierro and cover approx 350 miles in the week.  The trip east covers more miles — going up wind past Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura to Lanzarote—before sailing back overnight to Tenerife.  During this week you will expect to cover in excess of 400 miles.
All our milebuilding is under the guidance of one of Club Yachting's RYA sail instructors.
